Recently we’ve seen a folk supergroup, Monsters of Folk, and a metal supergroup, the Damned Things. Now we have a pop-punk version, Terrible Things, that brings together Taking Back Sunday’s Fred Mascherino, Coheed and Cambria’s Josh Eppard, and Hot Rod Circuit’s Andy Jackson.

Below, you can watch exclusive video of the new trio recording their untitled debut album (due late-summer) in Birmingham, AL, with producer Jason Elgin (Creed, Collective Soul).Watch the clips below!

“To record down there [in Birmingham] meant no distractions,” says Mascherino. “We were totally engaged in the music and [able to] get into a different head space.”

In the videos, Josh Eppard is rocking out on his drums in a green sweatband and a hoodie, messing around on a keyboard, and raving about working with Elgin.

“We tried a lot of new things,” Eppard says.”The drums sounded phenomenal, which, you know, I credit some of that to the way I hit the drums and certainly a lot of that to the producer Jason Elgin.”

“We’re now making our first record together as a band,” Mascherino says in the video.”I can’t even believe we’re here.”

The lead single from Terrible Things, “Revolution,” is out now, and the guys will be on heading out on the Vans Warped Tour this summer, starting July 29.
