Bat for Lashes knelt at the altar of Stevie Nicks last night (August 13), covering Fleetwood Mac’s classic “Rhiannon” during a gig at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. “This is a one-off cover we have never played before,” Natasha Khan told the crowd, according to the NME. “It’s a song by one of my favorite ladies so I’m going to try and do it some justice.” The Haunted Man conjurer then drifted into a bewitching, piano-led rendition of the 1975 tune. Watch the performance via the fan-shot footage above. The visuals are fuzzy and the camera’s far from the stage, but the audio comes through clearly enough. And even with the less-than-stellar quality, this homage still tops those regrettable Fleetwood Mac tribute albums from last year.
