Late last month, David Bowie dropped his $12.99 video for James Murphy's cosmic-disco remix of "Love Is Lost." But while hand-washing fetishists and puppet lovers may have been satisfied by that visual, fans of the DFA king's sprawling The Next Day revision (for The Next Day Extra) may have felt short-shrifted as the track had been slimmed down from 10 minutes to four. Now the full "Hello Steve Reich Mix" gets its due, along with a hypnotizing video directed by digital wizard Barnaby Roper, who answers the question: Just how many handclaps does it take to construct two human beings from scratch and film them making love? The Vice-premiered clip is safe for work for about seven minutes, so proceed with a combination of caution and patience. After that, check out a 26-year-old Bowie DJing for the BBC and a Baroque Bowie stunting for Louis Vuitton.
