Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Chance the Rapper, and DJ Khaled were big winners at night’s BET Hip Hop Awards, which was recorded in Atlanta last month. Lamar accepted the award for Lyricist of the Year. The untitled unmastered. rapper also presented Snoop Dogg with the I Am Hip-Hop award, which recognizes service to the community alongside musicianship. Show host DJ Khaled was named Hustler of the Year, as well as Best DJ and MVP of the Year. Chance the Rapper won Best New Hip Hop Artist, as well as Best Mixtape for Coloring Book; he wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, but Chance tweeted his acceptance this morning:

The show opened with a performance by Gucci Mane and Zaytoven, followed by Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Migos’s Quavo. Big K.R.I.T. addressed racism and police violence head-on in his performance, as did T.I., who performed his protest anthem “We Will Not” surrounded by on-stage #BlackLivesMatter protestors. Drake‘s Views took home Album of the Year, while Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana, and Infared shared Track of the Year and Best Collaboration for their hit “All the Way Up.”
The Life of Pablo missed out on Album of the Year, but Kanye West was honored with the Made-You-Look Award for best hip-hop style. Watch a couple of highlights from last night’s show below, and find additional clips at BET.
