Sub Pop Records is commemorating its 25th anniversary this weekend with a Silver Jubilee celebration on July 13. The showcase takes place in Georgetown and promises live performances from label affiliates Mudhoney, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis, Built to Spill, the Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli, Father John MistyPissed Jeans, Shabazz Palaces (with THEESatisfaction), METZ, Clipping, and more.

In advance of that upcoming event, Sub Pop is teaming with radio station KEXP 90.3 today (July 11) to broadcast an afternoon of live music at the iconic Space Needle. As SPIN previously reported, Vanishing Point stars Mudhoney will perform atop the landmark, but that’s just the capper to a full day of programming. KEXP DJs John Richards and Kevin Cole will play songs cherry-picked from Sub Pop’s 25-year history and conduct interviews with label employees and artists, including co-founder Bruce Pavitt, producer Jack Endino, and Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil. Best of all? Fans can watch the festivities via the live-stream above.

Singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone begins performing at 1 p.m. PST, and Mudhoney will close the day out with a set that starts at 5 p.m. PST. J Mascis (SPIN’s pick for the fifth Greatest Guitarist of All Time) was supposed to perform today, but his gig has been canceled due to a change in travel plans. The Dino shredder will still play the Silver Jubilee on July 13, though.
