Today’s a big day for Los Angeles noise-rap trio Clipping. Sub Pop Records announced Friday (June 7) that they’ve signed the glitchy MCs, who will release their label debut sometime in 2014. Clipping have also shared an official video (above) for “bout.that,” the latest single from this year’s excellent Midcity mixtape.

Clipping have also been added to the lineup for Sub Pop’s upcoming 25th anniversary festival. On July 13, the Seattle-based tastemakers will host Silver Jubilee, a single-day showcase featuring live music from Sub Pop affiliates Mudhoney, J Mascis, the Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli, Father John Misty, Pissed Jeans, Shabazz Palaces (with THEESatisfaction), the Baptist Generals, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth (featuring Tad Doyle), and Endino’s Earthworm. Aside from Clipping, other recent add-ons include Built to Spill, King Tuff, METZ, and Chad VanGaalen. The Silver Jubilee will be held along Airport Way in the Seattle neighborhood of Georgetown. Admission is free and the event is all-ages.

On July 12, the record label is hosting a Jubil-eve comedy night at the Moore Theatre. Eugene Mirman, David Cross, Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, and Kurt Braunholer are all scheduled to perform. Tickets are $25 and proceeds will benefit local organizations 90.3FM KEXP, Northwest Harvest, and the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation. Earlier this week, Jonathan Poneman, co-founder of Sub Pop, revealed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
