Austin City Limits' lineup this year looks a little like an all-star team of other '12 headliners: Red Hot Chili Peppers (who also headline Lollapalooza), Neil Young and Crazy Horse (who also headline Outside Lands), and the Black Keys (who also headline Firefly in Delaware, Osheaga in Montreal, and, sorta, Lollapalooza, though RHCP and Sabbath take the tip-top spots there) lead the pack. Other summer fest staples Jack White and Florence + the Machine are on the 130-artist bill, along with Iggy and the Stooges and Weezer. Gotye and Kimbra are both going to be there, too, hopefully screaming about traffic (incidentally, this is one of only three festival appearances Gotye will make this summer; the other two are Bumbershoot in Seattle and Summer Sonic's Tokyo and Osaka stops in Japan).

This year's ACL will go down, as it always does, in Austin's Zilker Park, October 12-14. The fest offered a pre-sale registration for tickets to its mailing list last week; those who signed up will get first dibs until tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. Central Time (that's 8 a.m. Pacific, 11 a.m. Eastern), when "sales updates will be released" via the festival website. Pro Tip: if you're making the trek down to Austin for this but aren't dead-set on the headliners themselves, you might want to also keep up-to-date on the ACL Live! tapings that go down at the Moody Theatre those dates.
