Even though Lady Gaga said she wouldn’t be able to attend the 95th Academy Awards due to a scheduling conflict, the pop star clearly found a way to make it to the big night and perform her best original song nominee “Hold My Hand” from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack.
Wearing no makeup and a simple jeans and T-shirt combo, Gaga was a sliver of her normally done-up persona as she delivered the powerful performance.
Gaga also appeared at the Academy Awards in 2022 as part of the entourage of the largely snubbed House of Gucci film. In 2019, she gave piano-led performance of “Shallow” from A Star Is Born, which won best original song that night. In doing so, Gaga became the first woman to ever win an Oscar, BAFTA award, a Grammy, and a Golden Globe in the same year.
