New York’s Other Music served record-buyers for more than 20 years, and last Saturday the beloved store closed its doors for good. Area musicians weren’t about to let the iconic storefront go without a proper tribute, though, and on Tuesday night, Yo La Tengo, Sharon Van Etten, Bill Callahan, Frankie Cosmos, Julianna Barwick, the Tallest Man on Earth, Yoko Ono, and more performed at the Bowery Ballroom in a variety show called Other Music Forever. Watch some fan-shot footage of the night below. (h/t Brooklyn Vegan)
