Thom Yorke Dances for Your Pleasure in Atoms for Peace’s Ingenious ‘Ingenue’ Video

Atoms for Peace, Thom Yorke, Ingenue, video, Amok

Thom Yorke’s reputation for seriousness is largely deserved. OK Computer. Kid A. Those weren’t jokes. Still, in the new video for “Ingenue,” a fidgety electronic groove from Yorke band Atoms for Peace’s new Amok, the Radiohead frontman does a great job of showing he’s self-aware and, yes, has a sense of humor. The clip shows Yorke and identically dressed, identically coiffed female doppelganger throwing some of the spazzy dance moves concertgoers have grown to love from Yorke. Think of the video for “Lotus Flower,” off Radiohead’s The King of Limbs, but with double the Yorke, and ponytails instead of Bowler hats. Could the new “Harlem Shake” be in the making? Definitely maybe.
