For a limited time, satellite radio provider SiriusXM will play host to The David Bowie Channel, a commercial-free station drawing from the iconic artist's entire body of work. The broadcast will begin Wednesday, October 30 at noon eastern, and run through November 12 on channel 111 for subscribers. It will also be available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week during that time period, via the SiriusXM site and mobile app.
In addition to the Bowie oeuvre, the channel will include covers by a diverse array of artists including Beck, Annie Lennox, Nirvana, Tears For Fears, Barbra Streisand, the Wallflowers, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Scott Weiland, and Dinosaur Jr. The stream will also premiere five unreleased songs set to feature on The Next Day Extra, a triple-disc expansion of Ziggy's last album which includes that epic James Murphy remix of "Love Is Lost."
