Arcade Fire commandeered the iconic Capitol Records building in Los Angeles on October 29, the same day the indie-rock titans unveiled their long-awaited fourth album, Reflektor. The Canadian collective played on an elevated stage located at the foot of the tower as part of a live-stream event for the Music Experiment. Fans who missed out on the webcast will be able to watch the set on-demand "soon," according to organizers, but for now, replay Reflektor tunes "Flashbulb Eyes" and "Afterlife," which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.

As seen above, "Flashbulb Eyes" opens with a fake-out: Arcade Fire's eerie bobblehead counterparts performing the Luddite-repping track, beset by camera flashes and faux-paparazzi. The Kimmel crew quickly pan over to the real AF, who stride through the dub-indebted song while looming over a crowd of hundreds. The band's "Afterlife" rendition wasn't accented with the raccoon eye makeup frontman Win Butler donned on Saturday Night Live recently, but the Haitian drummers, Salsoul flavor, and general air of impending doom remain untouched. Find that footage below, and be sure to read SPIN's review of Reflektor.
