Johnny Marr: "No Smiths Reunion"
Back and forth, back and forth -- how many times do they have to tell us before we believe them?
Apparently, a few more. In a statement issued to NME, ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr declared, "The stories circulating about a Smiths reunion are, as usual, untrue."

But the popular tendency to interpret every day that Morrissey and Marr don't kill each other as a sign the Smiths are headlining the next Coachella does have its upside -- it supplied Marr with an opportunity to plug a band he actually does want to perform with.
"I'm currently very excited about writing and recording with the Cribs for a new album to be released next summer, and we're playing shows in February," he said, before reminding fans that "going back in time isn't in my plans."
One question Johnny -- and don't get mad -- but let's say we could hook you up with some sort of back-in-time situation (we know a guy): Just for conversation's sake, are you saying that maybe then a Smiths reunion might be a possibility?

Want. In the veins! Want. But it's not like I'd ever be able to get tickets if it happened. I think we're all better off spinning Louder Than Bombs and doing a lil jig. Besides, that whole flux capacitor thing is tricksy. One wrong move and *bam* yer makin' it with your mom. Gross factor five.
Got something to say?
