As previously reported, pop music’s favorite couple is set to head out on a coheadlining tour on June 25, but in advance of that jaunt, Jay Z and Beyonce have released a trailer for a hypothetical action movie. Called RUN, the plot of the film somehow involves Jay and Bey getting involved in some shady dealings with Don Cheadle. Gunplay, blood, and chase scenes ensue.
They may be sticking largely to high art and high fashion these days, but the trailer makes it seem, at the very least, that Jay and Bey have some acting chops to boot. The full film is “coming never,” but the trailer’s full of surprises on its own.
Cheadle, Sean Penn, Guillermo Díaz, Emmy Rossum, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Rashida Jones, and Kidada Jones all make appearances, which has to make this the most star-studded tour trailer of all time. I mean, hey, who wouldn’t go see this if it were an actual movie? Instead we’ll have to settle for only a Beyoncé and Jay Z tour.
