After sharing a steady stream of tracks over the past six or so months, Kehlani has finally revealed the details of her new album. Titled Blue Water Road, the album will be released on April 29 on Atlantic Records. So far, the artist has shared “Altar” and “Little Story” from it.
“blue water road is a destination in my mind,” Kehlani said in a statement. “I’m giving everyone access. It’s an emotional journey, a sexual journey, and a spiritual journey. To me, the album is like a glass house. It’s light, transparent, and the sun is shining right through it.”
Kehlani’s previous album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, was released in May 2020. Later that year, we went deep with her in a cover story, which you can read here. The album and its singles landed on our best of 2020 lists. This will be their third album overall.
