Justin Bieber Belts Alanis Morissette’s ‘Ironic’ With James Corden

The Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke series is one of the most charming developments on the late night TV scene. Earlier this month host James Corden drove around with Jason Derluo and talked dirty to him, and last night Corden had Justin Bieber sitting shotgun. The Purpose artist and Corden sang along to some of Biebs’ recent hits like “Sorry” and “What Do You Mean?,” before jamming to Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic.” (The original version — not Corden’s 2015 update).

They also had plenty of time in the 12-minute video to talk about tattoos, crying at the end of The Notebook, and the infamous nude paparazzi photos. “It definitely felt, like, really invasive. It’s funny to joke about it now because what else can you do,” Bieber said. “When I first saw the picture, it was covered, it had censorship on it. I thought, ‘oh my god, I could have just got out of the water. I could have had shrinkage.’ I finally find the unedited thing, and I’m still pissed because there’s shrinkage.”

They cap off the trip by going clothes shopping together. Ride with them here.
