The Rolling Stones Announce 50th Anniversary Shows

The Rolling Stones' 'GRRR!'

It’s all right now, Rolling Stones fans. The venerable rockers are already marking their 50th anniversary with a career-spanning anthology, GRRR!, that includes new music. Now the Stones have put rumors to rest and announced a set of four shows later this year.

The Stones will play at London’s O2 Arena on November 25 and November 29. Then they’ll hop across the pond and play at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on December 13 and December 15. All ticketing information for the shows is here. As points out, the final Prudential Center show will be distrbuted by World Wrestling Entertainment as the pay-per-view special “One More Shot,” airing at 9 p.m. EST.

“You must have guessed this was coming,” the bandmembers say in the video below. “Surely you didn’t think we weren’t going to do this.” Earlier today they posted a shot of the GRRR!-artwork-depicting flight case pictured above, with the text: “IS EVERYBODY READY? WE’RE SORRY FOR THE DELAY… IS EVERYBODY READY?”

GRRR! is due out on November 13 in 50- and 80-track versions. “Doom and Gloom,” the first new Stones recording to surface since the band’s sessions for 2005 album A Bigger Bang, is out digitally now.
