For those who love everything Paul Weller, or are specifically obsessed with his work with the Jam or the Style Council, a special three-night stand at New York City’s Irving Plaza in January will undoubtedly be a must-see event. Here’s how the event, presented by Spin and Adidas Originals, breaks down: On Jan. 29, Weller will pay special attention to the songs of the Jam, then the next night he’ll turn the spotlight on music from the Style Council. On the Jan. 31, Weller will conclude with a career-spanning set. All three shows celebrate the release of Hit Parade, a Paul Weller box set which hits stores on Jan. 23.
SPIN.com also has the scoop on a special presale for Weller’s historic series of shows, which won’t be duplicated anywhere else in the world. Starting this Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 10 A.M., log onto ticketmaster.com and use the presale code “HitParade” to get your hands on up to eight of the 300 advance tickets being made available for each of the three nights. Presale customers can also purchase a special VIP package that allows theme early entrance to the show, a commemorative pass, and a limited edition poster signed by Weller himself. General tickets go onsale Friday, Nov. 17 at noon EST.
