The band-crush is a particularly powerful version of the more traditional man-crush, not to mention a dangerous wildcard to introduce into a professional partnership. To wit, in the song "Whateryadoin?," Qui drummer/vocalist Paul Christensen coos, "Caught you looking at me the other night / Supposed to be just practicing." And later: "Stop that, what are ya doin'? / Rehearse the songs just right." If there's any ambiguity to the lyrical message, the Ben Masbaum-directed video makes it quite clear — he's singing to bassist/vocalist Matt Cronk, who spends most of the time creeping on his buddy.

This is the second hilarious clip we've gotten from the freshly reunited Los Angeles noise duo. Like "Much Sex in America," the Sparks-meets-Sade standout "Whateryadoin?" hails from their February 25 album Life, Water, Living... Qui hit the road with Moistboyz in late February.
