The National spoke with SPIN's David Bevan in a bar that doubles as a flower shop. The Brooklyn band's brand of dapper melancholy, in other words, works out well for a "Drunk in Love" Valentine's Day. Pitchfork points to a new video for "I Need My Girl," from last year's Trouble Will Find Me, and it's in the February 14 spirit: Director Sophia Peer shows us elegantly dressed couples of various ages dancing slow and close, very close. If none of this is your V-Day speed, well, have we got the 35 bitterest songs for you.
