Where 2012 was a prolific and career-altering year for Miguel, 2013 has found him in headlines unrelated to his unknown music. This year saw the release of "How Many Drinks?," the album's second most successful single, cringingly dovetailed with a DUI arrest — which was still less of a PR disaster than the time he jumped like a wrestler onto a poor fan at the Billboard Music Awards. How nice that there's brand new Miguel music to talk about (not counting his collaborations with Janelle Monáe or, uh, Big Sean).

"Can't Sleep Together" — which you can hear at Rolling Stone — is the latest one-off in Adult Swim's single series. With its growling keyboards and distorted drums and guitars, the track finds Miguel returning to the gritty, early-Prince sound he explored on the third volume of his Art Dealer Chic EP series. But with its soaring vocals and crisp production, the song sees Miguel taking Kaleidoscope Dream's occasional arena-rock vibe in a more experimental direction.

The R&B singer was reported to release three more Art Dealer Chic EPs this year, but there's been no word — despite some teases on Twitter — to indicate that plan is on track, or if "Can't Sleep Together" will spearhead those new editions.

Adult Swim's Single Series, which has already seen entries from Run the Jewels, Marnie Stern, Autre Ne Veut, and Lightning Bolt, among others, will finish out its run with a song by Lil B.
