Little Dragon return with new music at last. The synth-loving Swedish art-pop crew will release their third album, Nabuma Rubberband, on May 13 via Loma Vista, and the first taste can be heard below, via Stereogum. “Klapp Klapp” is a very promising start, opening with pounding drums and raw bass that soon dissolve into a synthetic storm-cloud shot through with Yukimi Nagano’s rich vocals. The whole thing is pushed forward by a Krautrock groove, but still flavored by R&B (even Auto-Tune) and darkwave wilding. Stream here, view the trailer above, and check out the track list below. Since 2011’s Ritual Union, we’ve seen Little Dragon collaborate with Big Boi (“Mama Told Me”) and, um, Absolut Vodka (“Sunshine”).
