The Falcon’s Soaring First Single

The Falcon — the Chicago-based side-project of Alkaline Trio’s bassist Daniel Andriano, Rise Against’s guitarist Todd Mohney, and the Lawrence Arms’ vocalist/guitarist Brendan Kelly and drummer Neil Hennessy — are set to drop their debut full length, Unicornography, on Sept. 26, and they’ve just unleashed their positively rollicking first track from it, “The La-Z-Boy 500.” The pop-punk ditty features a melodic, semi-acoustic chorus, and it highlights Kelly’s gravel-coated vox as he reflects on mortality: “They say that living is a lot like dying.” In other Alkaline Trio side-project news, frontman Matt Skiba recently unveiled his first single with Heavens (read more).
