Exclusive: Pearl Jam Album Art

Look below, dear Pearl Jam fans, and find one of nine pieces of art to be featured on the alt-rock band’s September release, Backspacer. This image — exclusive to SPIN.com — is part of a collaboration between the band and graphic artist Tom Tomorrow.

But there’s an added bonus. Pearl Jam is giving away something “very, very special — not a normal live MP3 or anything” to fans who “collect” all nine pieces of Backspacer art that are scattered around the Web (they won’t tell us what it is, but we bet it’s cool). To add SPIN.com’s image to your collection and enter the contest, just click on the artwork!

“The artwork collaboration between Tom Tomorrow and the band for this album is so compelling, we felt like it deserved its own online gallery showcase,” said Tim Bierman, manager of the band’s fan site, Ten Club.

Pearl Jam will hit the road this fall in support of the new album, their ninth to date, kicking off a 10-gig run September 21 with a pair of hometown shows in Seattle. Ben Harper and Relentless7 will open most concerts. Check out the complete tour schedule here.
