‘Britney Jean’ Is the Title of Britney Spears’ New Album

Britney Spears, 'Britney Jean,' "Work Bitch," album title

If you want a new Britney Spears album title, you don’t actually have to work all that hard. Britney Jean is the title of the soon-to-be Las Vegas performer‘s upcoming eighth album, she revealed on London’s Capital FM Radio (above). “It’s a personal album, and all my family, they always call me Britney Jean,” she said. “It’s like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans.”

Britney Jean is due out December 3 via RCA. Spears suggested some high-profile featured artists will be on the album, but she declined to name them just yet. The album has already offered up “Work Bitch,” a campy house excursion that has recently been reworked by Azealia Banks. Britney Jean won’t be the first quasi-self-titled album from Spears, as her “I’m a Slave 4 U”-led 2001 album was called Britney. As a YouTube wag points out, wait another decade and we’ll get Britney Jean Spears.

The singer had this to tweet about her U.K. interview stint: “Lots of fun in London doing press today!! Always love when I get to visit the UK! xo.” That’s how you get a Bugatti, bishes.
