Röyksopp have shared their stunning new video for “I Had This Thing,” off of the Norwegian duo’s last album, The Inevitable End. The short follows a man and a woman in the immediate aftermath of what looks to be a relation-ending fight, and we can see their confused, conflicted, and painful emotions via the texts they send each other superimposed on the screen. It’s earnest and emotional, but the second half of the video takes a turn — it might not just be the end of their relationship, it could be the end of the world. There’s a mysterious, dangerous light in the sky, and it shows up at the worst possible time for our couple. Watch for yourself above.
