CHVRCHES took a detour from their regularly scheduled tour to drop by New York City’s iconic Ed Sullivan Theater to perform on the Late Show With David Letterman. Like the band’s previous late-night stops — see appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Later… With Jools Holland, and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon — the December 9 gig came in support of their disarming debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. This time, the Glaswegian trio dove into “We Sink,” a percolating highlight from the LP.
