Voodoo Fest 2013 Adds More Than 40 Acts to 15th Anniversary Lineup

Organizers for the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience have added a slate of new talent to this year’s lineup. Matt & Kim, Dirty South, Dr. John, Youngblood Hawke, Keys N Krates, Delta Rae, Shovels & Rope, and Rudimental have all hopped onto the festival’s roster. The New Orleans showcase turns 15 this year, and producers are celebrating with a three-day event running from November 1 to 3 at City Park’s Festival Grounds. As SPIN previously reported, the 2013 bill already features two Trent Reznor projects (Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels), Pearl Jam, Bassnectar, Paramore, Calvin Harris, Cults, Alkaline Trio, Desaparecidos, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and more. 

Other new additions include George Porter Jr., Beats Antique, New Found Glory, Savoy, Anamanaguchi, Moon Taxi, Allen Stone, GTA, ZZ Ward, the Olms, L.P., G-Eazy, Hockey, A Silent Film, Those Darlins, the Virginmarys, the Apache Relay, Reignwolf, Dan Dyer, the Purrs, Roll the Tanks, Ruby Amanfu, Flow Tribe, Royal Teeth, Andrew Duhon, Kinky Machine, the Scorseses, Panic in Eden, Hello Negro, Leopold and His Fiction, Church, Leslie Blackshear Smith & Double Black, Poof! The Pop Show, Quintron & Miss Pussycat, Big History, Coyotes, and He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister.

Last year’s festival featured performances from Metallica (who covered for Green Day after Billie Joe Armstrong went into rehab in September 2012), as well as Jack White, Skrillex, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Nas, Gary Clark Jr., and Tomahawk.
