“Darker” is the first output from a new alliance between Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad and Chicago rapper Chief Keef. (And we don’t yet know whether it’s a one-off track or the first taste of a larger project between the two.) Gucci handles the first two verses and the chorus, sounding more creatively energized than he has in years. Keef takes the third verse.
Gucci’s Trap House 3: The Guwop Edition reportedly hits via iTunes on July 2. Keef’s Bang Pt. 2 mixtape is still, at least theoretically, forthcoming.
