Red Aunts bassist and backup vocalist Debi Martini has died, her bandmates announced today on Facebook. The group\u00a0wrote that her passing\u00a0was "sudden and unexpected."\u00a0Martini's cause of death is unknown at this time. Surviving\u00a0members Terri Wahl, Kerry Davis, and Lesley Ishino posted the following\u00a0statement: With tremendous sadness we are heart broken to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our sister and friend Debi . She was our rock goddess and our anchor and we will always treasure our time together and all that we accomplished . Thank you to all our friends and fans - we love you forever . Martini, Wahl, and Davis formed the punk band in Long Beach, Calif. in 1991\u00a0and soon after added Ishino on drums. They\u00a0released\u00a0five albums\u00a0before disbanding in 1998, plus the\u00a0greatest hits compilation Come Up for a Closer Look\u00a0in 2014. After reuniting\u00a0two years later for a 25th anniversary show, Red Aunts started touring again and performed\u00a0as recently as November. View the band's Facebook post below.
