Popular rapper G-Eazy has been arrested in Sweden on suspicion of assault and drug possession, TMZ reports. G-Eazy (born Gerald Earl Gillum) was reportedly arrested at Stockholm nightclub after allegedly getting into an altercation with club security; after police were called, they allegedly found cocaine in his pocket. According to rival gossip site The Blast, all this went down around 3 a.m. local time on Thursday morning. Court is reportedly closed today, meaning G-Eazy may not be able to see a judge until tomorrow.
Photo and video clips harvested from social media appear to show G-Eazy at a nightclub earlier in the evening, hanging with singer Sean Kingston and girlfriend Halsey and passing out shots to celebrate his first show on the European leg of The Beautiful & Damned Tour. Halsey also appeared at the concert, performing the couple’s duet “Him & I.” No word yet on the status of G-Eazy’s future tour dates. His next scheduled show is May 6 in Copenhagen.
Update (12:15 p.m. Eastern): TMZ has posted some video apparently showing G-Eazy getting into a police car. Halsey can be heard saying something about getting “punched in the face”; TMZ writes, “We’re told she may have been struck by a security guard during the scuffle inside the club.”
