After a fourteen-year-long wait, Bauhaus is back. The goth-rock pioneers released their first single since 2008’s Go Away White, a new song called “Drink The New Wine.”

The lockdown was a creative time for Bauhaus. The new song was written during quarantine by the four members sharing audio files. In a technique the band has used before, the song was constructed by the exquisite corpse device used by surrealist artists, where each musician contributes to the track without knowing what the others have done.

Bauhaus is also slated to hit the road this summer. They most recently added another show on May 21 at The Masonic in San Francisco, and tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on Friday, March 25. After their May tour of several U.S. cities, they’ll perform a two-night run in September at Kings Theatre in New York, which was postponed from November 2021.
