Pop songwriter Charlie Puth‘s sophomore album Voicenotes is now available on streaming platforms. Following the chart-topping single “Attention,” the release features a collaboration with Liam Payne of One Direction and suggests new growth for the musician, whose still-young career took off in early 2015 with the Furious 7 hit “See You Again.” While Wiz Khalifa wrote the lyrics to each rap verse, Puth is credited with the rest of the song, later nominated for three Grammy awards for the recording: Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Since his breakout success, Puth has released a five-song EP, Some Type of Love, as well as his debut album, Nine Track Mind. In addition to these releases, the songwriter has collaborated with Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, Ty Dolla Sign, and more. Nine Track Mind later debuted at number 6, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart with hits like “Dangerously” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Selena Gomez.
In the buildup to his latest album Voicenotes, Puth hasn’t been keeping us waiting. In addition to the hit “Attention,” the songwriter has released singles “How Long,” “The Way I Am,” “Done For Me,” and “Change,” an interesting collaboration with ’70s songwriter James Taylor.
