Bonnaroo is amongst the hottest summer music festivals in the country both figuratively and literally, so one of the biggest challenges is staying clean and cool while spending hours in the sun watching your favorite bands. In that spirit this year, the festival is swapping out all 449 of their showerheads in the campgrounds with premium products from Kohler, including 70 Bluetooth-enabled Moxie showerheads which include a wireless speaker so you don’t need to stop dancing all weekend long.
But it gets even better. SPIN and Kohler are presenting morning DJ sets at Kohler’s Shower Out Loud location at Pod 3 (see map here) on the campgrounds daily Fri-Sun, with a lineup so impressive that you’ll want to stop by even if hygiene isn’t at the top of your festival priority list.
SPIN and Kohler will be handing out 100 free shower tickets during each DJ set, so get there early! Kohler will also be hosting Happy “Shower” Hours every day from 2 p.m-6 p.m. and 10 p.m.–2 a.m. that will feature half-price showers as well as cool giveaways.
We know what you’re thinking: “There’s got to be a catch, right?” Nope. But we do suggest that you support Kohler’s initiative to save water by pledging to their #CommitToSix campaign which asks attendees to commit to a six-minute shower in order to conserve this valuable resource. In addition to the obvious karma points you’ll be earning, with each pledge Kohler — in partnership with the Bonnaroo Works Fund — will donate $1 to The Nature Conservancy, up to $10,000, to support the restoration of Tennessee’s Duck River.
In other words, you get to shower, stream your favorite music, see DJ sets from acts like St. Lucia, and help conservation efforts in the process. You’ll feel good about yourself and, trust us, your fellow concertgoers will appreciate the fact that you don’t smell like a porta-potty all weekend… so everyone wins.
