The Julie Ruin Announce Sophomore Album ‘Hit Reset’ With New Track, ‘I Decide’

The song's lyric video features a cameo from Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield

The Julie Ruin — a.k.a. onetime Bikini Kill and Le Tigre frontwoman Kathleen Hanna, former Bikini Kill bandmate Kathi Wilcox, Kenny Mellman, Carmine Covelli, and Sara Landeau — will release a sophomore album, Hit Reset, which follows up 2013’s debut, Run Fast. It’ll be out on July 8 via Hardly Art.

In addition to the news, the band also shared the record’s first single, “I Decide,” with a lyric video featuring Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield wandering down an Austin road (the clip was filmed during SXSW) in a pair of headphones. Watch the lyric video for “I Decide” below, check out the album art and track listing, and look for the Julie Ruin this summer at Panorama on July 23 and Atlanta’s Wrecking Ball from August 12 through 14.
