Get ‘Caught Up’ in METZ’s Ferocious New Song

METZ, the post-hardcore group who shred in the face of Canadian stereotypes, have shared a raging new track that sees the Toronto-based outfit partner with garage-punk regular “Swami” John Reis. “Caught Up,” is a non-stop, high-energy guitar blast with a classic-sounding riff. Reis, who has played with groups including Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes, booked studio time with METZ to record this and one other new song, “Let It Rust,” both of which will appear on a Record Store Day 7-inch. It’ll drop on April 16 via Swami Records, but it’s limited to a run of 2,000 copies. Stream “Caught Up” below, via Pitchfork.
