Killer Mike is as eloquent a speaker as he is a ferocious rapper, and the Run the Jewels MC stopped by Florida State University to give a ten-minute lecture on positivity, racism, and civil rights. The rapper, whose real name is Michael Render, instructed the assembled students that they didn’t need to start any crazy hashtags or launch grand crusades to do good in the world — they just needed to be positive and constructive in their own lives. “You can be a pebble,” he said. “Just throw it in a pond that causes ripples that go all the way to the shore.” Watch the entire talk below.
