Taking his turn at the MTV VMAs, Pharrell Williams did a crazy-energetic set in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night. Playing “Freedom,” the rapper/singer swapped hats for the occasion and donned a matching striped shirt and socks, most likely to symbolize cell bars, plus a pot leaf print on his bum for good measure. He also came flanked by dancers, but he held his own just fine in the two-stepping department.
