Bob Dylan and the Band’s Iconic ‘Big Pink’ House Is Available for Rent
$650 a night gets you a stay in the West Saugerties house
Between The Basement Tapes and Music from Big Pink, Bob Dylan and the Band made a pretty sizable contribution to the American Songbook from a big, pink house in West Saugerties, New York. And now, in theory, so could you. As Consequence of Sound points out the house is now available for rent on VRBO, an Airbnb-like site property rental site.
It’ll cost you $650 a night at the moment, but since there’s room for up to eight people, that’s not totally out of reach, especially when you consider that you’d be temporarily living in the midst of history. Word to aspiring musicians, “the basement is not included in the rental,” per the VRBO listing, but you have to imagine that some of the magic made its way upstairs too. For more info and photos head over to the house’s VRBO page.
