Chris Cornell Reissues Debut Solo LP Under New Title ‘Euphoria Mourning’
It'll be released on vinyl for the first time on August 14
Chris Cornell’s first solo album opened with a track called “Can’t Change Me,” but what you can change, it turns out, is the title of the record it appears on. On August 14, the Soundgarden frontman and former SPIN cover star will reissue that 1999 record, formerly called Euphoria Morning, under the slightly altered spelling Euphoria Mourning. The album will be available for the first time on vinyl and will be available again digitally and on CD.
Cornell notes in a press release that this new title is actually the original title he intended, but it was changed prior to release after he “listened to some bad advice.” The following month, he’ll release a new solo album, but details on that release still remain fuzzy.
