Fetty Wap Plays ‘Trap Queen’ and ‘My Way’ With Full Band on ‘Kimmel’
Brooklyn band Phony Ppl backs up the rapper on performances of his first two hits
New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap made the trip to Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night to perform his two biggest singles, his nearly-Hot-100-topping “Trap Queen” and the still-ascending “My Way.” For both, he enlisted the help of Brooklyn sextet Phony Ppl as his backing band, and for the latter he also brought up Monty, guest MC on the original single. (Sorry, Drake fans.) Check out that performance below, and “Trap Queen” above, which illustrates that in addition to being a hell of a hip-hop banger, Fetty’s signature hit would make for a pretty great reggae ballad too.
