Last week, Bardi Johnansson — the Icelandic songwriter who makes music as Bang Gang — released The Wolves Are Whispering, his first album since 2008. Now, he’s released a video for the darkly atmospheric track “Sabazios O.” The video is just as chilling as the song it accompanies, following a pair of women into a dimly lit hotel room for a spooky tattoo session and even weirder blood transfusion.
“This is the only video from this record where I actually appear in it, even though I just appear in total for maybe two to three seconds,” says Johansson. “It is a story of exchange with presence of a dark force, shot in the National Theatre of Iceland and and one of the legendary hotel suites in Iceland in Hotel Saga.”
