Stevie Nicks Made a Surprise Appearance At Deer Tick’s New Year’s Eve Show
She led the band through "Rhiannon" at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City
Deer Tick ended their six-night Brooklyn Bowl residency on New Year’s Eve, and a special guest joined them on stage to mark the momentous occasion. The great Stevie Nicks teamed up with the folksy rock band for a joyful performance of Fleetwood Mac classic “Rhiannon.” It was a special collaboration in more ways than one, since Deer Tick had spent the residency celebrating their tenth anniversary by paying homage to artists that inspired them. Nicks is close with the band — last year she officiated the marriage of frontman John McCauley and Vanessa Carlton. The “A Thousand Miles” singer and McCauley’s mom can be seen in the fan-shot video provided backing vocals. Not a bad way to ring in the New Year for all involved. Check it out above.
