Metallica Lay Craig Ferguson to Sleep with ‘Enter Sandman’

Metallica, Enter Sandman Late Late Show, Craig Ferguson

At least they’re not stuck in a Buffalo blizzard like Interpol, but it appears that Metallica haven’t moved from the stage on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson since Monday. Last night, they made their fourth appearance during their week-long residency, breaking out the big guns: “Enter Sandman,” the Black Album classic that probably stands as the group’s most famous song. No, unfortunately singer James Hetfield and bassist Robert Trujillo didn’t trade off vocals on the “Now I lay me down to sleep…” bridge, and there were no surprise Mariano Rivera cameos, but it was a pretty righteous performance just the same.

Watch above, and if you’re friends or family of the band and you don’t hear from them after tomorrow night’s closing performance, maybe send a rescue unit.
