Over the course of the two-plus decades since they first collaborated as Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam and Chris Cornell have on rare occasions found the time to get back together and revisit some of the material from that classic collaboration. This year’s iteration of Neil Young‘s annual Bridge School Benefit featured appearances from both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam so the time seemed right for this to happen again. Lo and behold, during the latter band’s set, Chris Cornell strolled onstage for a stripped down rendition of the Temple of the Dog classic “Hunger Strike.” Consequence of Sound points out that it was only their fourth performance together since 1991 and their first since Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary in 2012. You can catch fan-shot footage of the moment above.
