You’d think a bucket of ice water over the head would cool you down, but Liam Gallagher looks pissed as ever at his older brother Noel in his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video. Before getting doused with freezing water (while sitting on a pretty psychedelic Vespa scooter), the Oasis founder chooses his nominations carefully: “I accept this challenge and nominate Spongebob Squarepants, Ivor the Engine, and while we’re on cartoon characters, Noel Gallagher.”
It’s unclear whether being called a cartoon character is a gravely serious insult in England, but from what we know about the Gallagher brothers it’s easy to assume this is not flattery. Your move, Noel.
And in case you just turned on the Internet for the first time in weeks (where could you have been?), this whole thing is for a good cause, bringing awareness to the neurodegenerative condition otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Participants either dump cold water on their heads or donate money to the ALS Association, or both. Eddie Vedder, Weird Al, Drake, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, and many, many others have gotten in on the action.
Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” flash mob viral marriage proposal to take the challenge. Any day now, right guys?
