Hear Menace Beach’s Slacker-Sludge Triumph ‘Tennis Court’

Leeds-based band releasing 7" this September via Memphis Industries

Back in January, Menace Beach released Lowtalker, a five-track collection of fuzz-powered noise-pop. On September 1, the British outfit will follow that collection with a double A-side featuring the simultaneously taunting and playful “Tennis Court.” Frontman Ryan Needham’s distorted vocals contrast the cleaner voice of guitarist/keyboardist Liza Violet, whose effortless singing recalls early Juliana Hatfield. Meanwhile, the sludgy guitar riffs and squealing feedback nod to Ty Segall, as the song trails off with a simple synth melody swaying side to side.

Stream “Tennis Court” below, scroll down further for Menace Beach’s tour dates, and pre-order the upcoming 7″ through Memphis Industries.
