Psych-folk act Widowspeak’s new LP Almanac is out today on Captured Tracks, and to commemorate the event, the band released a new video for the track “Locusts.” The video, directed by the Craig Brothers, harkens back to those ’60s television performances (think Shindig!) with its grainy black-and-white footage, go-go dancers, and kooky German Expressionist stage setup. Even the outfits and singer Molly Hamilton’s Grace Slick-ish hair match the era. With its lurking bassline, the track and video are also an homage to another classic homage, Nirvana’s “In Bloom” clip.
