Hear Rick Ross’ Ominous ‘Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe’ Freestyle

Recorded before yesterday's shooting incident, a glimpse into Rozay's uneasy mind

“Feeling real good right now,” Rick Ross says before his freestyle over Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” beat (via Nah Right). That opening line suggests that the Bawse’s rendition of the good kid, m.A.A.d city track probably predates that shooting incident/car accident that Ross was involved in yesterday morning, since while he managed to avoid the bullets, his vibe has no doubt been killed. The freestyle seems even more ominous when he raps, “Sometimes I look in the mirror, I can’t believe I’m alive / Disrespectful to niggas who wanna take me alive / Wishing death on you niggas, we never see eye to eye.”

Despite the freestyle’s foreboding nature, Bawse manages to get in some classic Ross-isms, like “Rappers wanna be ballers, ballers wanna be rappers / when the liquor endorsements worth more than your masters” and “I may be drunk on the couch, but I’m raising the bar.” The track itself is over six minutes long; the first 75 seconds features Rozay’s freestyle, then the remaining five minutes is just King Kendrick’s good kid version of “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
