Frank Black Enlists Classic Rockers

When Frank Black went into the studio to record his forthcoming double-disc set, he had some good company, including members of Bad Company and Cheap Trick.

The resulting album, Fastman/Raiderman, will hit shelves June 20 and features guest appearances from Levon Helm (the Band), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick), Steve Cropper, Spooner Oldham, and members of Black’s old solo band, the Catholics, according to Billboard.com.

Black plans to tour in support of the new album, though dates have yet to be announced. He’ll also hit the road with the Pixies for a couple of shows this summer.
